Hey I’m Dylan, a Product Designer with over 14 years experience, currently looking for my next role ✌️

I have a passion for creating user interfaces that are customer focused, intuitive and aesthetic. I enjoy tackling complex problems, designing engaging experiences, and growing the business by delivering what customers want.

My journey kicked off in the realm of graphic and web design working freelance for a few years until I completed a UX course in 2014. The passion of my instructor, Coleman Walsh, wasn’t just infectious—it reshaped my career path. I’m all about striking that sweet spot where business objectives hug it out with stellar user experiences. Sure, the digital realm is a marketplace, but who says it can’t be intuitive and delightful rather than a maze of frustration?

In a team setting, I thrive on active listening and valuing diverse perspectives. Every opinion is a thread in a richer tapestry of solutions, and I believe that’s where the magic happens in collaborative design.

At the close of each project, my aim is to leave a digital imprint that’s not just visually appealing, but also user-centric and business-savvy. Making the digital space a bit more intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing is the mission, and each project is a step towards that horizon.

A little more about me personally: For the last decade I have helped foster a friendly and inclusive work culture by organising team building activities and events. I began organising social nights in 2013 when I worked for Modeva, but it was when I moved to Avid that I started a “Social Club”.

Having a yearly budget meant I could explore more adventurous options: Kayaking, zip-lining, wall climbing, VR, throwing axes and foot-golf to name a few. The events gave people the opportunity to get to know each other, especially those whose roles did not cross on a daily basis. What resulted was a great sense of culture in the office. When people get to know each other they communicate better and hence work together better. The Social Club had such a positive impact that it was mentioned on the company website and in interviews to entice potential new hires.
